Did you know that it took an incredible 70 days to make Surbhi Chandna’s wedding lehenga?

It’s wedding season, and in the middle of Anant Ambani’s lavish festivities, a much-anticipated union took center stage in Hollywood. On March 2, at Jaipur’s Chomu Palace, actress Surbhi Chandna and her lover Karan Sharma sealed the marriage after ten years of dating. For her big day, the Ishqbaaz actress skipped the customary red lehenga and went for an unusual blue and carnation pink one.

Her lehenga was adorned with sequins, French knot flower patterns, and elaborate zardozi embroidery. Each panel of the garment showcased paisley designs that were further enhanced with golden zari work, adding to its beauty.
The corset-style blouse highlighted the collarbone and neckline with its chunky pearls, sweetheart neckline, and long sleeves. Its pearl dome hemline blended in well with the rustic atmosphere of Chomu Palace. The lehenga was a true show-stopper, honoring all brides.

The incredible 1680 hours of work were spread over more than 70 days to build the masterpiece, demonstrating the commitment of the creative team. “The wedding day is the most important day for a girl as it changes her entire life,” the newlywed Surbhi said, referring to her gorgeous bridal gown that won her so much praise and admiration. Like other girls, I’ve dressed up as a bride in real life, but for years I also dreamed of my wedding dress. Like me, I wanted it to be something special in addition to the greatest! They made it happen because of Bindani, which Jigar and Nikita provided. I still recall how stunned I was when I saw the clothing for the first time and how the joyous little girl in me danced. I also want to express my gratitude to all of my admirers and well-wishers who have blessed us and commented on how good we look.”

“Surbhi has a unique personality, and we wanted her wedding outfit to perfectly reflect that,” said designers Jigar and Nikita, who put their all into creating the ensemble. We went with turquoise rather than the more conventional colors of red, pink, or white, as it goes with her cool, kind, and upbeat personality. We made sure to pay special attention to every little detail since we believe that every bride should look her best on her wedding day. Our intention was to uphold tradition while incorporating a contemporary element that would appeal to both Karan and Surbhi. With its elaborate zardozi embroidery and pearl details, the costume took us about 70 days to complete, but when Surbhi wore it and grinned on her special day, it was all worth it. We are really grateful that she trusted us to make her look gorgeous!
