Elvish “admitted to arranging snakes and snake venom” at rave events he had previously organized, a police source told NDTV. The YouTuber ‘confirmed that he had met the accused at numerous rave events and was in communication with them,’ the source said. Elvish has refuted the allegations before.

Elvish is now being prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act as a result of his confession. Section 29 of the statute addresses the purchase and sale of pharmaceuticals. It’s said that this legislation makes it difficult to get bail.

What is the case with the snake venom?

Elvish’s name initially surfaced in relation to the case involving snake poison from the previous year. Five people were detained in relation to a rave party that took place in November of last year. Nine snakes, including five cobras, were found during a police search in Noida Sector 49. Additionally, around 20 milliliters of snake venom were taken. The complaint was filed for criminal conspiracy under Section 120B of the Indian Penal Code and under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972.

The detained gang said at the time that they provided Elvish with snakes and snake venom for his gatherings. But at the time, Elvish denied it. When he was questioned on November 7, 2023, he said that singer Fazilpuria had provided the snakes for the Noida rave party.

But Elvish was taken into custody by the police on Sunday, March 17. He was placed into judicial custody and is expected to be held there for 14 days.
